Donations
There has been an outpouring of support from the blogging community since I announced that I have cancer for the the third time. So many people have been doing such great things.
I’m grateful to everyone who has donated money that allowed me to take my family to Disney World however since we’ve returned I was laid off from my job…the week before I started chemotherapy. Not only was I laid off, the Temp Agency I worked for refuses to place me in another position knowing that I have cancer.
I haven’t finished paying my medical expenses from Cancer 2007 and here come the medical expenses for Cancer 2008 with higher co-pays! The medical expenses are piling up very quickly.
The reality is that we can’t make it financially on just my husband’s income. If you know of foundations or grants that can help please let me know.
I have a lot of pride. A LOT. I hate when people put PayPal buttons on their sites asking for donations and feel like a hypocrite that I’m doing it myself but I’m in a crisis situation.
The money isn’t going to go towards anything frivolous unless you consider $40 co-payments for chemotherapy, doctors visits or medications frivolous…and that’s just a drop in the bucket when you look at the other medical expenses I’m responsible for paying. Insurance doesn’t cover everything.
So, I sincerely thank you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
